The clutch pack sent by ZF to wholesale parts service centers between September 1, 2010 and March 8, 2011 contains a too-large clutch disc. The oversized disc could cause the car to move on initial startup and not use the service brakes if the emergency brake is not applied. This could potentially cause a crash or injury to someone around the vehicle.ZF will notify and send retailers that still have the clutch pack in inventory a new pack with a correctly-sized disc, free of charge. If any owner is not happy with their car’s performance, they can contact ZF for reimbursement for a new clutch pack and the cost of labor; owners can contact ZF at 1-800-321-0784. The recall is slated to begin this month.
