Workshops, Seminars and Training

Bhutan Peoples' Party is of the strong view that the wind of Democracy will definitely blow towards Bhutan in the near future. With this hope in mind it has been tirelessly working for creating a strong force of the Bhutanese youths with deep-rooted knowledge of Democratic procedure. To this end BPP always extend its hands for the possible assistance in all forms from like-minded organizations and individuals.

It has become clear that the political reforms in the country is not the wishful cry of any particular community but a popular demand by all the Bhutanese people who have suffered generations in servitude at the hand of the royal elite. The BPP believes that the government of Bhutan will be compelled to find a durable solution to the present problems, if we launch effective peaceful nation wide programs in close co-ordination with the people in the country.

The democratic movement in Bhutan is constrained by a number of factors. The most important being the lack of active interactions between the people living inside and outside the country.  Over 13 years of separations it has created a big communication gap. The message of political reforms has not yet fully percolated to all strata of the Bhutanese society. Regular publications to be disseminated inside the country and the flow of information regarding the violation of human rights in the kingdom need to be geared up.

The BPP is confident of creating political awareness to its cadres both inside and outside the country through most discreet training programs. BPP believe that we have to build a concrete organization and strong foundation to resist the pressures that may come at any given time.

Towards this, party desire to conduct most discreet training programs, especially in democratic system of Governance for the cadres from inside the country and from the exile.  BPP office is committed to carry out the training programme smoothly.  The objective of the preparedness is to launch nation wide peaceful movement inside the country to take up the whole responsibility of giving momentum to the Bhutanese Movement.

If Bhutanese movement for Democracy has to be made effective and strong we need to organize various types of awareness programs with regards to Human Rights, Democracy and Social duties to the Bhutanese People both living inside and outside.

BPP is of the strong view that until and unless Bhutanese People are not enlightened of their rights and duties and how they are deprived of their inherent and birthrights by their ruler they cannot come openly against their ruler. Thus to mobilize mass support for this movement BPP would like to organize various types of training, seminars and workshops on issues ranging with Human Rights, Democracy and the types of governance.

Our society is inflicted with various kinds of evils and superstitious things. Due to such presence our society is always backward and diseased. To eliminate such negative aspects from our society BPP wishes to organize awareness programs to the Party Cadres, women, teachers, youths and students.

 Purpose of Training

The Bhutanese people have been victimizing by the absolute monarchy converging into refugee camps particularly in Nepal for safe and security. They have been languishing in the camps for over a decade and a half. Over the last decade, the people in the camps have witnessed multi-political evolution taking place in Nepal. In particular, idea of radical activities find place in the people’s mind with in no time.

In the context of our refugee students and youths, in absence of arrangements for such growing generations to continue in the camps after class ten, they are compelled to stay outside the camps where they get associated with the local youths of radical ideas. To be precise, those young generations who have taken up communist ideologies have posed social threat in the camps while we work for promotion of Democratic Socialism.

There is awareness among the people about the presence of such ideologies not only in the camps but also carrying forward to the evolving society inside Bhutan which is not in favor of our movement. At this juncture, when the organizations with Democratic Socialism plans for any training programs to educate the people on the ideologies of socialism, the growing situation of the radical Communist thoughts have become a thereat unless appropriate measures are taken by the government to curb down such forces that goes to create unpleasant situation in the camps among youth society.

The democratic movement in Bhutan is constrained by a number of factors. The most important being the lack of active interactions between the people living inside and outside the country. The message of political reforms has not yet fully percolated to all strata of the Bhutanese society. The party is confident of creating political awareness to its cadres both inside and outside the country through most discreet training programs. Towards this, party desire to conduct training programs especially in “Democratic system of Governance in Democratic Socialism”.
